Philippine Events: Eddie Boy Rocha Fundraiser at Fiamma Featuring The Silver Rangers
Eddie Boy Rocha recently got into a severe accident last February, which left him incapacitated with severe head trauma, always in the need for constant medical supervision. Eddie Boy Rocha has amazed his doctors by surviving every major procedure they’ve put him through even when his chances of survival were very slim. At present, Eddie Boy Rocha will be undergoing a revolutionary laser treatment developed by NASA. The procedure allows the brain cells to regenerate, and so far Eddie Boy Rocha has been responding well to the treatment. Eddie Boy Rocha needs to continue the treatment to get better, but the sheer cost of maintaining his health and stability is hard to maintain.
And so, the friends and family of Eddie Boy Rocha are putting together a fund-raising party in his honor. The party will be held at Fiamma along Jupiter Street, Makati, on Thursday night August 28. Tickets at the door will be 1,500 pesos, and all the proceeds will be given directly for the treatment and medical expenses of Eddie Boy Rocha.
On a personal note, I’ve known Eddie Boy Rocha for years. We might not be best buddies who hang around every weekend, but then we’ve had our share of memorable moments that will last a lifetime. There was one time when Eddie Boy Rocha, Chris Betz, Philip Zorgani and myself found ourselves in a bit of teenager trouble. What we did at that teenage moment was ridiculous, and is something that we laugh at whenever it’s brought up. But then, no matter how bad that incident seemed, it sort of gave us a bond. And if anything, it’s a good memory.
Anyway, I’m juggling a busy schedule to make sure I can attend the fund-raiser event for Eddie Boy Rocha. Of course, I wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to help out a great guy like Eddie Boy Rocha. Besides, the entertainment is promising with a special performance by The Silver Rangers with Jamie Wilson on vocals, Daniel Crisologo on guitars, Derek Ileto on bass and Brian Velasco on drums.
Anyway – Salud, Eddie Boy! To your health!
